On 20 November, Stamford University Department of Microbiology and Department of Computer Science and Technology organized a seminar on "The application of software, It technology and Mathematics in Health and Medical Science." Mrs. Fatinaaz Feroz, Vice President Stamford University Bangladesh was the Chief Guest; Prof. Dr. Moudood Elahi Pro- vice chancellor was the special guest. Chairman of Department of Microbiology Dr. Rashed Noor introduced the health and medical issues troubling Bangladesh while Dr. Kamruddin Nur, Chairman of Computer Science and Engineering introduced how IT and Health informatics can be used in health management. Distinguished speakers included Prof. Dr. Yngve Lamo, Department of Computer Science and Prof. Dr. Talal Rahman Department of Computing, Mathematics and Physics, Bergen University, Bergen Norway. The guests spoke about the application of IT in Health management. They also discussed the prospects and limitations and possibility of collaboration among the two institutions.
