Stamford University Bangladesh is graded as one of the top private universities in Bangladesh by the Government. At present it has about 14000 students, of which 3000 are postgraduates. The number of faculty members stands at about 300 under 16 Departments and 6 research centers. It has three campuses within Dhaka, which are located in Dhanmondi and Sidheswari areas. The library subscribes to a wide range of books and journals. A wide range of software applications is available in the PCs of the Computer Laboratory. The laboratories are well equipped and some are shared by more than one department. The university is large enough to support a wide range of academic and research activities while, at the same time, is small enough to ensure a sense of belonging of a community which is often uncommon in larger institutions.
