Aleeya Tamzida is an assistant professor in the Department of English at Stamford University Bangladesh. She has been teaching here for last 16 years. She obtained B.A.(Hons) in English Literature and M.A. in Applied Linguistics & ELT from the Department of English, University of Dhaka. She presented papers in different conferences organized by IER, University of Dhaka, NELTA (Nepal English Language Teachers Association), and Stamford University Bangladesh. She wrote three research papers in the fields of Phonetics & Phonology, SLA and ELT (published in Dhaka University and Stamford University Bangladesh) and took part in a research work as a team member in Stamford University Bangladesh funded by the Planning Ministry of the Republic of Bangladesh. Apart from teaching, she endeavours to contribute to the present trend of thoughts in the society by writing stories, poems and articles in the dailies, literary magazines or books at home and abroad. She also published two story books, a collection of poems and a translation work in Ekushey Book Fair.
