EllinaMahbubaShahid joined Stamford University Bangladesh in 11th September, 2008 as a Lecturer. She became Assistant Professor in 1st November 2013. She has completed her MBA major in Finance in 2006 from American International University- Bangladesh (AIUB). She has also completed BBA major in Finance in 2004 from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) with the 3rd highest CGPA in the class. Before joining SUB, she worked in Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) as a Lecturer. After completion of MBA, she successfully completed 3 months Internship from MIDAS Financing Limited (MFL), a non-bank financial institution, from their Lease Finance Unit.
EllinaMahbubaShahid has been teaching several courses such as: Real Estate Finance, Corporate Finance, Fundamentals of Investment, Financial Analysis and Control, Public Finance, Managerial Finance, Financial Markets and Institutions, Law and Practice of Banking, Principles of Insurance, Principles of Business Finance and Micro Economics in undergraduate level and Security Analysis and Portfolio Management and Finance Theory in Masters level.
Besides teaching, she works as a member of many committees in the department such as Examination Monitoring Committee, Question Moderation Committee, Defense committee ofThesis and Internship and One day permission committee.She is the member of the Review Committee of Stamford Journal of business Studies (ISSN 1817-1680).
EllinaMahbubaShahidhas published three peer reviewed journal papers on Finance and Economics related topics, two of them in International Journal and one in local journal.
She participated various workshops under Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC); A project of Higher Education Quality Enhancement Program (HEQEP), University Grants Commission (UGC), Bangladesh. She also participated in Faculty Development Program (25th batch of faculty or CFE - 25), conducted by Centre for Excellent (CFE), Stamford University Bangladesh, 2010. Recently participated Annual Banking Conference-2019, organized by BIBM.
