Mst. Farhana Ferdouse, an Associate Professor, is currently teaching in the Department of English at Stamford University Bangladesh. She has been teaching English at the tertiary educational level for the last 19 years. Her main research interests lie in the area of teaching English language and Victorian Literature. She graduated in English from Jahangirnagar University and did her MA in English from the same institution. Presently, she is pursuing her PhD from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) in the field of EAP (English for Academic Purposes). She has worked as the Academic Coordinator of the Department of English from October 2016 to July 2018 and as an Administrative Coordinator from August 2018 toJanuary 2022. Now she is the Convener of Straybird Forum, PSAC and Professional Orientation Program. Additionally, she is working as an active member of Journal Committee , Course Offering and Distribution Committee, Curriculum Development Committee, Students Advising Committee, Exam and Class Routine Committee, Language Course Revision Committee, and such others as per the direction and guidance of the Department and the University. She has supervised more than 50 students researchers of Undergraduate and Graduate level over the span of her career. She has 9 publications of her own writing in Peer- Reviewed journals.

The Courses She Teaches:
The various courses she teaches have reflected her interest in multifarious types of genre, the political differences between races, and the relation between culture and politics. She teaches 18th Century Literature, Victorian Literature, American Literature, 20th Century Literature, Continental Literature. She also teaches English Language courses such as English Fundamentals, English Composition, Advanced Reading and Writing Strategies.
