IfraTunNuriscurrently working as Senior Lecturer (May 2, 2018 to till date) in Department of Microbiology, Stamford University Bangladesh. She has been working in the Department of Microbiology since May 2, 2015. She started her carrier as a Lecturer in this department on 2^ndMay ,2015. She has been working as an editorial member of Stamford Journal of Microbiology.

She has been doing microbiological research for more than 5 years. She has the experience on working in the fields of general microbiology, infectious diseases, drug-resistance, food microbiology and genetics. Her research concentration is mainly focused on viable but non- culturable (VBNC) cells, water- and food borne microorganisms, opportunistic infections, hospital acquired pathogens, basic genetics, multi-drug resistant microbes, pharmaceutical and industrial waste associate resistant bacteria.During her academic tenure, she has been conducting both theoretical and practical classes and Student counseling.Beside her departmental research,she has been doing some research in collaboration with other research organization like BCSIR, Reneta Pharmaceutical and Dhaka Medical Collage Hospital. As the reflection of her academic excellence,she has published 16-research article (international (09) and national (08) journals) in several peer-reviewed journals with moderate impact factor.
