Prof. DR. Jamal Uddin Ahmed Joined in the Department of Accounting, University of Dhaka as Lecturer after completing B.Com (Hons) and M.Com from the same University. Later he joined in the Department of Finance as a founder teacher after the creation of the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka. Dr. Ahmed earned his M.B.A and PhD from two reputed universities of Europe and did his Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the USA. During the Teaching career Prof. Ahmed was appointed in various academic administrative positions of the Universities namely Provost of Halls, Treasurer and Pro- vice Chancellor of Public and a Private Universities, Chairman of the Department of Finance, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, and Director of Evening MBA Program of the Department of Finance, University of Dhaka etc. After regular retirement from the University of Dhaka as a Selection Grade Professor in 2016, Prof. Ahmed was re-appointed as a Supernumerary Professor in the Department of Finance, University of Dhaka. During the teaching career, Prof. Ahmed has lot of articles and research publications in different national and international journals. In addition, Dr. Ahmed has also attended and participated in quite good number national and international seminars. Moreover, a significant number of students have obtained their Ph.D. and MPhil degrees under his supervision.

 

Prof. Ahmed joined the Stamford as a founder Professor in the Department of Business Administration in the Year 2002 and he was appointed as the first Pro-vice Chancellor of the University. After expiry of the tenure of Pro-vice Chancellorship, he is currently acting as Academic Advisor and Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Stamford University Bangladesh.
