Mst. Mahmuda Parvin is currently working as the chairman and as anAssociate Professor at Department of Environmental Science, Stamford University Bangladesh. Have a good track record of carrying out research works during M. Sc and PhD studies. She carried out PhD research entitled “Geoinformatics Study on Characterizing Spatio-Temporal Hydraulic Behaviors of Groundwater in Kumamoto Area, Japan” under the supervision of Prof. Katsuaki Koike of Kumamoto University, Japan. Studied the effects of precipitation and earthquake on groundwater level of the study area by GIS. Also have experiences to work as a Research Fellow at Kumamoto University, Japan. Had been awarded the prestigious JASSO, GCOE Fellowship during Doctoral study. During M. Sc in Geography and Environment at University of Dhaka carried out research on spatial representation of quality of environmental parameters by GIS. The title of Master thesis was Quality of Life in Dhaka City; A GIS and Environmental Approach. Now actively involved in teaching and research at the Department of Environmental Science, Stamford University Bangladesh. Also have experience in supervising Undergraduate and MS students. She is also a convener of Stamford Yes Forum, Stamford University Bangladesh. She has recently completed 2 projects under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh, Reference no ES 384; ES 394.
She is one of Consultant of Believe in Green (BiG). Along with contributing different national and international projects, published more than 17 indexed scientific journals, many indexed proceedings, and abstracts and supervised more than 35 post graduate theses and 13 undergraduate projects. Ms. Mahmuda was awarded his B.Sc (Hons) and MS in Geography and Environment from University of Dhaka. She has teaching experience in several reputed universities.
