Profile

Md. Shahinur Islam has been working as a senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Stamford University Bangladesh since May 2015. He completed his B.Sc (Hon’s) and M.Sc in Physics from University of Rajshahi, Rajshahi, Bangladesh in 2009 and 2010 respectively. He obtained first-class 7th position in B.Sc (Hon’s) and first-class 1st position in M.Sc of his department.

During his M.Sc program he has completed a thesis on nuclear physics entitled " Non-monotonic potential description of the refractive scattering in α+40Ca" under the supervision of Professor Emeritus Dr. Arun Kumar Basak. For this research work he was awarded the National Science and Information & Communication Technology (NSICT) Fellowship 2011-12 from the Ministry of Science and Information & Communication Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. At present, he is a PhD student in the Department of Physics, Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET).
