Overview
Dr. Seemi Tasnim Alam has completed her PhD from University of Science and Technology (UST), South Korea in 2021. Dr Alam has extensive research experiences for 1 year (2022) during working as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Independent University Bangladesh (IUB), Dhaka under the project from Wellcome trust foundation based in London in United Kingdom.
Currently she is holding Assistant Professor position in Stamford University Bangladesh, Department of Microbiology. She has published 20 papers in reputed journals and also served as an editorial board member of reputed MDPI journal KARYOTES the journal of Microbiology. In addition, she is serving as a reviewer in International Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology and Korean journal of Microbiology. She has received reputed Korean Patent for her PhD thesis work. The patent titled “Composite composition for photodynamic reaction for reducing and killing Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and antibacterial composition, sterilizing composition, and sterilizing method using the same” registered in South Korea from 2023 to 2039. Currently, Dr. Seemi Tasnim Alam is working as an Assistant Professor & MBO Coordinator in the Department of Microbiology, Stamford University Bangladesh since February, 2023. Besides academic excellence, she is actively involved in research in both Stamford University Bangladesh and abroad.
