Stamford University Bangladesh inaugurated its much-anticipated “Forum Week 2025” today, marking the start of a week-long initiative aimed at fostering student engagement and leadership. Organized by the Student Welfare Department, the event seeks to recruit new members into the university’s 17 active student forums and clubs.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the university’s auditorium premises, attended by key university officials and student leaders. Muhammad Abdul Matin, Registrar of Stamford University, formally opened the event. Other distinguished guests included Dr. Mrityunjoy Acharjee, University Proctor; Prodeepto Mobarook, Head of the Public Relations Division (PRD); along with conveners and coordinators of various student forums.
The inaugural session was presided over by Tamanna Zerin, Advisor of Student Welfare, who emphasized the significance of co-curricular and extracurricular activities in shaping students into well-rounded professionals and responsible citizens.
Forum Week is considered a flagship student engagement program designed to enhance professionalism, workplace competence, leadership, communication skills, cultural appreciation, and civic responsibility among students.
Stamford University currently hosts 17 active student forums and clubs, including: Stamford Debate Forum (SDF), Stamford University Drama Society (SUDS), Stamford University Photographic Society (SUPS), Stamford YES (Youth Engagement Support), Stamford University Volunteers (SUVs), Stamford University Sahittya Forum (SUSF), Stamford Anti-Drug Forum (SADF), Stamford University Robotics Club (SURC), Stamford University Journalist Forum (SUJF), Stamford Life Science Club (SLSC), STRAYBIRD Forum (SF), Stamford University Computer Society (SUCS), Stamford Pharma Forum (SPF), Stamford Business Forum (SBF), Stamford Civil Engineering Forum (SCENF), Stamford Mooting Club (SMC), Stamford University Economics Forum (SUEF).
The membership drive will continue until July 29, with daily activities and exhibitions taking place from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, offering students a unique opportunity to explore and join the forums that align with their interests and aspirations.
