Faculty members from the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at Stamford University Bangladesh successfully completed a two-day hands-on training on Outcome-Based Education (OBE), aimed at strengthening academic quality and advancing engineering education in line with national and international accreditation standards.
The intensive training focused on the implementation of the BAETE Accreditation Manual Version 3.0, with particular emphasis on identifying and addressing the key changes from Version 2.2. Participants explored critical aspects of curriculum design and alignment, effective teaching–learning and assessment strategies, Program Outcome (PO) attainment, and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) in accordance with the Graduate Attributes and Professional Competencies (GAPC 4.0) of the Washington Accord.
Designed as an interactive and practice-oriented programme, the workshop enabled faculty members to engage in hands-on exercises, collaborative discussions, and real-world applications of Outcome-Based Education principles. The sessions enhanced participants' understanding of modern accreditation requirements and equipped them with practical tools for implementing OBE more effectively in their respective departments.
The initiative reflects Stamford University Bangladesh's continued commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and the development of globally competitive engineering graduates by aligning its educational practices with internationally recognized engineering education standards.
