The Department of Pharmacy, Stamford University Bangladesh, successfully organized a Professional Orientation Program for the students of Batch 79 and 80 on 22 August 2026 at the Auditorium of Stamford University Bangladesh, as part of the Professional Orientation Course. The program was graced by the presence of Dr. Sharif Nafe As-Saber, Vice Chancellor; Muhammad Abdul Matin, Registrar; Prof. Dr. Ahmad Kamruzzaman Majumder, Dean, Faculty of Science; Prof. Dr. Mrityunjoy Acharjee, Proctor; Dr. Most. Nazma Parvin, Chairman, Department of Pharmacy; and Dr. Md. Saiful Islam, Advisor, Department of Pharmacy, along with distinguished faculty members and students.
The opening remarks were delivered by Mst. Amina Khatun and Fahim Shariar Rakib, Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy, highlighting the importance of professional preparation alongside academic excellence. Following the opening remarks, representatives from three different batches took the floor to share their experiences, aspirations, and prospectives on their journey from academic life toward professional careers. Their reflections added a valuable student perspective to the program and further enriched the interactive atmosphere of the session.
The keynote session was conducted by Md. Rezwanul Islam, Marketing Manager, Sharif Pharmaceuticals Ltd., who shared valuable industry-based insights on career planning, CV writing, interview preparation, professional communication, workplace etiquette, networking, corporate culture, and career opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector.
The session was highly interactive and practical, allowing students to engage directly with an industry professional, ask questions, and gain a clearer understanding of corporate expectations. Recruitment and employment opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry were also discussed, creating a meaningful connection between students and the professional world. As a gesture of appreciation, a crest was presented to the Honorable Vice Chancellor, while the keynote speaker was honored with a crest, bouquet, and gift for his valuable contribution.
The closing remarks were delivered by Dr. Most. Nazma Parvin, Chairman, Department of Pharmacy. In her insightful speech, she emphasized the importance of thoughtful career planning, continuous learning, professional development, and building the right skills to succeed in the pharmaceutical sector. She encouraged the students to remain focused on their career goals, make the best use of their academic journey, and prepare themselves to meet the evolving demands of the professional world. Her inspiring words provided meaningful guidance and motivation to the students as she formally brought the program to a close.
The program served as a powerful bridge between classroom learning and professional practice, encouraging students to develop not only academic competence but also the confidence, communication skills, professionalism, adaptability, and industry awareness required to succeed.
