The 20th session of the youth-focused seminar series ‘Tarunner Prithibi’ was held today at T&T Women’s College, aiming to equip young people with the skills, awareness and knowledge needed to navigate the rapidly changing job market.
The programme is jointly organised by Stamford University Bangladesh and Prothom Alo as part of an initiative to prepare students for the demands of the future workplace.
The seminar focuses on developing essential skills among young people, including career awareness, adaptability, communication, critical thinking and other competencies that are increasingly important in a competitive employment landscape.
The organisers said the initiative seeks to create greater awareness among college students about emerging opportunities and challenges in the job market and encourage them to prepare themselves accordingly.
The 20th session at T&T Women’s College brought together students and organisers in an interactive setting where participants had the opportunity to learn about career preparation and the changing expectations of employers.
The seminar series is being conducted in phases at 30 colleges across the capital, with the organisers planning to reach a large number of young students through the initiative.
Through ‘Tarunner Prithibi’, Stamford University Bangladesh and Prothom Alo aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and the practical skills required for future careers, while encouraging young people to become more informed, confident and prepared for the evolving world of work.
