On Saturday, 10 October 2026, we had the privilege of participating in Voice of Justice – 1st BUBT National Law Olympiad 2026, organized by the Department of Law at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). It was a pleasant day with beautiful weather, making the overall experience even more enjoyable and memorable.
Two teams from the Department of Law, Stamford University Bangladesh Team Lex Dominus and Team Beyond Doubt participated in this prestigious national-level competition. Stamford University Bangladesh generously arranged transportation for the participants, enabling us to begin our journey on time and reach the venue punctually.
The event was exceptionally well-organized and professionally conducted. From registration and welcoming the participants to the academic rounds and other arrangements, every stage was managed systematically. The Olympiad brought together 50 teams representing 30 universities across Bangladesh, including Stamford University Bangladesh, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), BRAC University, North South University, University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), Southeast University, State University of Bangladesh, and many other institutions. The initiative provided law students with an excellent platform to demonstrate their legal knowledge, analytical abilities, critical thinking, and enthusiasm for legal studies.
The competition consisted of four engaging rounds designed to evaluate different aspects of legal knowledge and advocacy. The first round, Lexicon (Legal Quiz), tested participants' legal knowledge through multiple-choice questions. The second round, The Lens of Justice, focused on human rights presentations. The third round, The Reform Chamber, challenged participants to identify limitations in existing laws and propose meaningful legal reforms. Finally, The Counsel’s Chair, the final round, focused on arguments and rebuttals concerning international human rights and refugee law.
The initiative taken by BUBT to organize its first National Law Olympiad was truly commendable. Beyond the competitive aspect, the event created an opportunity for academic exchange, intellectual engagement, and interaction among aspiring legal professionals from different universities. We sincerely appreciate the dedication of the organizers in making the programme a successful and enriching experience.
