The Department of Architecture, Stamford University Bangladesh, organised a special lecture session under the Professional Orientation Course on the theme “Education, Practice and Beyond” for its students on 8th September, 2026.
Department Chairman and Associate Professor Sonya Afrin, along with other faculty members, welcomed a diverse assembly of practicing architects, alumni, and current students to the session.
This session featured Architect Dewan Shamsul Arif, Principal Architect of VISTA Architectural Consultants, as the distinguished speaker. Drawing on his professional experience, he shared valuable insights into architectural education, professional practice, and the transition from academic life to the professional world. His lecture provided students with practical perspectives and motivation for their future careers.
The programme was graced by Professor Dr. Sharif Nafe As-Saber, Vice Chancellor, Stamford University Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest. In his speech, the Vice Chancellor motivated the students and emphasised the importance of knowledge, professional skills, continuous learning, and professional commitment in building a successful career. He also highlighted the importance of learning, research, and collaboration in creating a more innovative, inclusive, and sustainable future.
Mr. Muhammad Abdul Matin, Registrar, Stamford University Bangladesh, attended the programme as the Special Guest and encouraged the students to prepare themselves for their future professional careers.
